The Past

One of the most common questions I get is, “Why the French?” The answer is that I’ve spoken it most of my life, with thanks first of all to my mom reading to me in French when I was tiny. I then lived in France as a teen, and the rest is history.

The second most common question is, “How long have you played music?” I don’t remember a time when I didn’t play music. Both of my parents were pianists, my dad also a composer and my mom also a harpsichordist. I started playing piano when I was about two, and the rest is history.

I grew up gigging with my dad, who taught me thousands of songs. I am forever grateful to my parents for all that they gave me, from music to encouraging me to follow my heart.

It’s been a long journey since my time with them, and here I am years later showing my gratitude through continuing my family’s tradition of making change through the arts.
